About Kate Steadman, LCPC

    Clinical Mental Health Counselor

    Kate Steadman, LCPC

My name is Kate and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. One of my key goals as a therapist is to create a safe, supportive, and transformative space for healing and growth. With an extensive background in music therapy and mental health, I bring a unique approach to wellness, blending evidence-based practices with creative, individualized care.

My love of helping people began at Shenandoah University where I received my bachelor's degree, and earned certifications as a Music Therapist, Board Certified (MT-BC) and Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT). Following my passion for holistic healing, I pursued graduate studies at Bradley University, where I deepened my expertise in the field of psychology and earned my graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling.

"Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us."

I serve a diverse clientele, specializing in supporting individuals with comorbid physical and cognitive or intellectual disabilities, LGBTQ+ community, and individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I am dedicated to utilizing a wide range of therapeutic approaches, carefully tailored to meet each client's unique needs.

Through Steady Wellness Therapy, I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where every individual can thrive.

"Courage doesn't happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life."

    Why Choose Telehealth?

Telehealth therapy offers a flexible, accessible way to receive quality mental health care from the comfort and safety of your own space. It eliminates barriers such as transportation, scheduling conflicts, and geographical limitations, making therapy more accessible to everyone.

Through secure, confidential video sessions, we can build the same therapeutic relationship and achieve the same meaningful outcomes as in-person therapy. Many clients find that being in their own environment helps them feel more relaxed and open during sessions.

Whether you're balancing a busy schedule, living in a rural area, or simply prefer the convenience of virtual care, telehealth can provide the support you need to thrive on your mental health journey.

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
